Governance
Broad Hinton Village Hall is a registered charity, number 305475, run by volunteer trustees. Each year we report to the village at our Annual Community Meeting, and to the Charity Commission. Our reports and the policies we run the hall by are below.
Annual report 2025/26
Our Annual Community Meeting was on Tuesday 14 July 2026. Nick Moakes, our Chair, went through what the hall has been up to, and Kate Nye, our Treasurer, explained where the money comes from and where it goes.
An independent examiner checked our accounts for the year in June 2026 and raised no concerns.

2025/26 in numbers

Our reserves
We keep money in reserve to cover our running costs if income drops, to replace large items as they wear out, and to pay for emergency repairs. For 2026/27 our target is £57,581.
The Treasurer checks the reserve every month, and the trustees review the policy every year.
