Support the hall
The village hall is a registered charity, run by volunteers. It pays its way through hire charges, events, donations and the fundraising below.
We've done this before. The Charity Bank loan for the new hall was due to be paid off in May 2034. Thanks to a lot of donations and hard work, we paid it off in May 2017, seventeen years early, and celebrated with a party.

300 Club
The 300 Club is a monthly prize draw. Half the money goes to the hall and half pays for the prizes.
Each number costs £10 a year, and you can have as many as you like. You can also pay £2.50 a month by standing order for three numbers.
There's a draw every month from January to December, with five prizes each time:

- 3rd and 4th prizes £20 each

If you pay once a year, we'll remind you in November or December when it's time to renew. If you pay by standing order, your numbers carry on until you cancel it. Winners are announced each month on the village Facebook groups, in the Local News and in our e-newsletter.
There are only 300 numbers, so ask whether any are free. To join or renew, email villagehall@broadhinton.org.uk and we'll send you the payment details.

Easyfundraising
If you shop online, you can raise money for the hall without paying anything extra. The retailer makes the donation and you pay the usual price.
- Sign up at easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/broadhintonvillagehall.
- Before you buy, find the shop on Easyfundraising and click through to it.
- The shop pays a reward, and Easyfundraising passes it to the hall as a donation.
The Easyfundraising Donation Reminder for your browser saves you steps 1 and 2. It pops up when a shop you're on can raise a donation. Over the years, supporters have raised more than £2,500 for the hall this way.
Donations
You can give to the hall through our PayPal giving page.
Volunteering
The hall has hosted everything from beer festivals to Christmas parties, and pantomimes that have made us laugh, cheer and sometimes cry (if we were five…). Keeping that going takes people, and you can help in small ways or big ones.
Strategic trustees look after the big picture: the hall's future, planning, governance and funding. Area leads each run one part of the hall, such as bookings, events, maintenance, communications or fire safety, with others to help.
If you'd rather help now and then, we need people to confirm bookings, do fire safety checks, garden and keep the building in good order. Give as much or as little time as suits you.
