Hackpen Festival 2026 welcomes 207 visitors
What a fabulous event! Beer, gin and wine from Wiltshire were enjoyed by 207 people at our Hackpen Festival on Saturday 19 September, from our own villages and from as far away as Bristol, London, Leeds, Suffolk and South Africa.
They came in groups of friends, as families, singles and couples, and ranged from young to older and somewhere in between. Everyone ate Chef Mihai's barbecue, listened to Lucy Anna and later danced to 24-7. We had so much fun we're already planning next year.
Many thanks to everyone who helped and isn't a village hall trustee: Tom Bance and Nick Snow, Liz Moakes, Chris O'Neill, Jo Smith, Geoff Martin and Robin Smith, Helen Miller and Izzy Moakes, and The Winterbourne for the food. Thank you to everyone who served at the bars and worked on the door: Terri and Dave Thompson, Marilyn Martin, Chris Horan, Jo Smith, Steve Warren, Bridget Cooper, Jon Kromer, Helen Miller, Abbie and Paul Fleming, Candace Gaisford, Alice Ship and Keith Jones. Huge thanks also to those who sponsored the beer and gin, and to our main sponsor, Southby & Co Financial Planning.
